Maryland Loyalists and the American Revolution
This site provides a fascinating look at the American Revolution from the Loyalist point of view. The site tells the saga of the First Battalion of Maryland Loyalists, a provincial Tory regiment established in 1777. Samples of Loyalist songs, propaganda, and oaths of loyalty can be found here, in addition to a 1776 pamphlet written as a Loyalist response to Thomas Paine's “Common Sense.”
