    A. Instead of reforming parts of the existing society. some groups established utopian societies, which were new communities that they believed could be perfect.

    B. The Shakers, a religious utopian society, believed that all people should share equally in the benefits and responsibilities of life.

    C. Brook Farm was a utopian community where families lived and worked together, and intellectual curiosity and personal responsibility were emphasized.
