Selected Civil War Photographs
This site from the Library of Congress features a pictorial timeline of the Civil War. Most of the photographs were taken by Mathew Brady, the famous photographer whose images reflect the horror and tragedy of the conflict.

Poetry and Music of the War Between the States
This site is an excellent source for students who are interested in the songs and poems of the Civil War era. Categorized into Union and Confederate pages, the site provides a rich array of song lyrics and poems about battles, soldier life, the home front, and postwar remembrances. Many of the songs and poems are accompanied by historical photographs.
