I. The Geography of the Nile
B. Egyptian farmers depended on the predictable, annual flooding of the Nile
in order to grow crops.

B. Ancient Egyptian history began around 3000 B.C. and is divided
into three major periods.

Egyptians learned to farm, formed governments, and invented hieroglyphic writing.
