A. The fringe-toed lizard became an endangered species as golf courses, homes, and hotels began to spread across the Coachella Valley.

B. Everyone worked together to solve the problem. Now part of the land is set aside for the lizard and other land is kept for builders.

II. The Power of One Person

B. You can find out what state government is doing to stop pollution.

C. You can write to your representative to voice your opinion about environmental issues.
