Hold a Native American Conference

Use this worksheet and reference materials to help you research Native American groups from Unit 2.

1. Circle the name of the Native American group you will research:

    Kwakiutl       Cheyenne       Navajo

2. Geography: People at the conference will want to know where your group lives. Using your outline map of North America, create a map that shows the location of the Native American group you are researching. Draw pictures on your map that show some of the landforms and natural resources in the region.

3. Natural Resources: People will want to know the types of natural resources found in your group's region. They will also want to know how your group uses these resources. Choose one natural resource and write a description of how your group uses it.

5. Ceremonies and Beliefs: People may want to learn about some of your Native American group's important ceremonies and beliefs. Choose one ceremony or belief and describe it below.
