I. Wealth of the Rockies
B. To make money, people came to mining towns from around the U.S.as well as from China, Mexico, and Chile.

II. A Boom Town
B. Miners mined gold, copper, silver, and other minerals in more than 240 mines.
C. Some people became very rich, and some did not.
