Check out the latest trend in prairie dog research--remote sensing research. Using aerial photography, technicians and scientists can locate and track prairie dog populations over wide areas. You can also examine data on Colorado prairie dog populations.

Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center
Find information about prairie grasses, earthworms, bald eagles, and everything in between. This site from North Dakota contains extensive resources on Northern Prairie and United States wildlife, including in-depth articles, photographs, statistics, distribution maps, and related prairie links.

Use the resources at this site to create a photographic atlas of the prairie. Create thematic maps showing animal and plant distribution and decorate the atlas with photographs from the site. You can also use the photographs to make a prairie calendar.
