Parade of Countries

Activity
When we are learning about our country, our world, I must deal with the children being from a number of different countries. So what we do is research the country in which each child is from, and then we draw their country's flag. We then make a big poster board displaying "Our Stars from Around the World."

When they have finished with this, we plan a parade. The children wear their native costumes, if possible, and we play their national anthem as they parade about. If this is not possible, they walk around with their country's flag they made. Then they parade around with their classmates. The children just love it!
