Overview: Students create and present plans and models of an undersea lodge.

Storyboard presentation 3 Accurate depiction of life at different depths, the physical characteristics of the ocean and ocean bottom, and the characteristics of ocean water.
  2 Accurate depiction of ocean life and ocean characteristics, but organisms and ocean features are not placed appropriately.
  1 Little attention given to detail or accuracy.
Lodge position 3 Planning reflects understanding of currents, depth and pressure, and light penetration.
  2 Position reflects planning based upon some of the above criteria.
  1 Position reflects random selection with little consideration given to above criteria.
Oral/Audio presentation 3 Good preparedness; audio in agreement with storyboards; all questions clearly answered.
  2 Fair preparedness; audio may or may not agree with storyboards; some questions are not answered clearly.
  1 Poor preparedness; audio out of sync with storyboards; questions are unanswered.
