Throughout your study of matter and energy, you have collected a variety of mixtures and compounds. You have also named the substances found within each mixture and compound. Do any of the compounds and mixtures that you have collected contain the same substances?

In the chart below, record the names of six substances. Under each substance, list all of the mixtures and compounds you have found that contain that substance.

Can you find any more mixtures and compounds containing these substances? Go to a local store and read ingredient labels on products similar to those you have already listed in your chart. Can any of these products be added to your list?
