Disappearing Ink

Why would you want to write a message with ink that can't be seen? The answer is that disappearing ink is a kind of scientific magic. It's fun to use. Under most conditions, the message written with the ink is invisible. However, a chemical reaction can be made to happen that makes the ink visible again.

Use disappearing ink to prepare an “answer” card for each display in your science museum. Using disappearing ink to describe or explain your Matter Mysteries will help add to the “mystery” of your displays. Your card should also explain any science concepts relating to the material or changes in the material in your display.

The following sample cards will give you an idea of how to fill out your cards.
