Ocean Planet: A Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition
This compelling resource, designed to "promote celebration, understanding and conservation of the world's oceans," features a variety of excellent multimedia tours (you can even custom-design your own!) as well as complementary educational materials. Ocean Planet is an online companion to the new traveling exhibit of the same name created by the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History.

Sea World/Busch Gardens Information Data Base
The Sea World/Busch Gardens Information Data Base includes a database of fun facts and information sheets on a variety of sea and land mammals, K-12 classroom activities, images, video clips, and much more. This great site is maintained by Sea World and Busch Gardens, Florida.

Whales: A Thematic Unit
Whales is an integrated curriculum resource designed for teachers and students in kindergarten through grade five. It includes lesson plans, homework ideas, book reviews, project ideas, and student activities in social studies, research, math, language arts, and more. This unit was created as a class project by graduate students at the Curry School of Education, University of Virginia, and is hosted on the school WWW server.
