Figurative and Literal Meanings (visual/oral/auditory/kinesthetic) Invite small groups of students to brainstorm a list of the names of fruits and vegetables that can be used figuratively. Have them make a poster showing their final list and a pair of sentences—one figurative and one literal—for each entry. Students may want to add humorous drawings. |
