Syllable Puzzle

Have students make a puzzle, using a full-page magazine picture. Ask them to paste the picture on heavy paper. They will draw six squares across the picture and ten squares down and then write two spelling words across each row, one syllable to a square. Finally, they will cut out the squares, mix them up, and give them to a classmate to put together.
