Shortcut Words (visual/auditory/kinesthetic) Write these words on the board, say them, and ask students to guess their shortened forms: delicatessen, advertisement, photograph, veterinarian, caravan (deli, ad, photo, vet, van). Then have students cut out magazine pictures and paste them on a poster, or draw examples of the words, and label each with the appropriate shortened form. |
