Idiom Illustrations (visual/kinesthetic) Write these idioms and meanings on the board, and ask students to choose one: cut the mustard (do the job); knock your socks off (amaze you); hit the sack (go to sleep); cut the rug (dance). Tell students to write a sentence including their chosen idiom at the top of a poster. Then have them illustrate the sentence's literal and figurative meanings. |
