Match Game
(visual/kinesthetic)
Ask students to work in pairs. Tell them to choose fifteen spelling words and make a word card and a meaning card for each. To play, students shuffle the cards and place them facedown in five rows of six. Players take turns turning over two cards at a time, hoping to match a word and its meaning. A player may keep two matching cards after using the word correctly in a sentence. Cards that don't match are turned facedown again. The player with the most cards at the end wins.
