What Do YOU Call It?

Write these word groups on the board:

(a) soft drink, soda, pop, tonic;
(b) wishbone, pully-bone, pull-bone, lucky bone;
(c) sofa, couch, divan.

Say the words, and have students repeat them. Then tell students to draw each item and to label it with the name they use for it. Let students display and compare the labeled drawings.
