Prefix Puzzle
(visual/oral/auditory/kinesthetic)
Have each student choose six Basic Words, three with the prefix un- and three with re-.
Have them write the words in large letters on a piece of heavy paper and then draw a shape around the words.
Students should then draw twelve puzzle pieces so that each prefix and base word is on a separate piece.
The pieces can then be cut out, mixed up, and put together.
Children can pair off, exchange puzzles, and read aloud the puzzle words when they're done.
