All Aboard the |âr| Express (visual/oral/auditory/kinesthetic) Have students build a train out of five shoe boxes. One should be decorated like an engine and labeled the |âr| Express. The next three boxes should be labeled a-i-r, a-r-e, and e-a-r. The last could be a caboose labeled e-r-e. Have students brainstorm words that follow the spelling patterns, write the words on index cards, and file them in the right boxes. |
