Home Run
(oral/auditory/kinesthetic)
Divide the class into groups of nine.
Ask each group to form two teams of four "batters," with the remaining student serving as the "pitcher."
Give the pitcher a spelling list. To play, the pitcher reads words to batters on one team.
A batter must write the word correctly to score a home run, or one point.
If the word is misspelled, the batter is out. After three outs, the other team is up to bat.
At the end of each inning, the pitcher and a batter switch roles.
