Vowel-Consonant-e Squares
(visual/oral/auditory/kinesthetic)
Have students form groups of four. Tell each student to divide a card into four squares and label each a-consonant-e,
i-consonant-e, o-consonant-e, or u-consonant-e. For this round, three students are players; the fourth is the caller.
(Callers set aside their cards.) As the caller reads a list word, players write it in the correct square.
The first player to fill in all squares correctly wins the round. For the next round, a player and the caller switch roles.
