Word Toss

Partners can create their own booths for a country fair from empty half-gallon milk cartons by cutting a window on one side and covering the carton with colored paper. On each booth, they write a short i phonogram. Children use letter cards or Spill & Spell® tiles to build rhyming words with the short i sound and then write the words on tagboard disks. They take turns choosing a disk, reading and spelling the word, and tossing it into the correct booth.
