Cut out large squares of colored paper. Have each child select one to make a quilt square.
The square should include a word that ends with the suffix -ful and a sentence or sentences that use the word.
The sentence should tell about friendship in general or about a specific person or pet who is a friend.
Children might decorate their word or cut the letters from magazines.
They might also add illustrations to their square. Post the squares on a bulletin board to form a friendship quilt.
