A Sports Dictionary
(visual/kinesthetic)
Remind children that some words have two separate entries in the dictionary.
Provide children with large paper. Have them each make a page for a sports dictionary of homographs.
On the top half of the page, have children list the word, write a sentence using the sports-related meaning of the word, and draw a picture.
On the bottom, have them do the same for another meaning of the word.
Children can bind their pages together to make a class Big Book.
