Automobile Pull-Throughs
(visual/oral/auditory/kinesthetic )
Have children make automobile pull-throughs like the one shown. Provide them with a tag board stencil of a car, scissors, and paper strips. Help children write their spelling words on a paper strip and cut two slits in the car window.
Partners use the pull-throughs to play various games. For example, one child might pull the strip through, reading one word at a time for a partner to spell. Or a child might give a clue for a spelling word. The partner pulls the strip until the word that matches the clue appears in the car window.
