A Word Ladder (visual/auditory/kinesthetic) Provide children with cards cut from colored paper or tagboard. Have children brainstorm more rhyming pairs of two-syllable words that have the final long e sound spelled y. Ask children to write each rhyming pair on a card. Attach the cards with yarn to form a word ladder that you can hang on your word wall or on a bulletin board. |
