Learn and Earn
(visual/oral/kinesthetic)
Provide pairs of children with blank cards. Children write the singular form of a spelling word on each card. They color the back of each card green and print "$1" on it. Partners place the cards in a pile, face down. They take turns pulling a card, reading the word, then saying and spelling the plural form. A player who spells the plural correctly keeps the card; otherwise, it goes back in the pile. The player who "earns" the most $1 bills wins.
