-og Word Wheels (visual/kinesthetic) Cut small and large circles from tagboard. Have children write the letters og on a small circle and these consonants and clusters around the outer edge of a large circle: b, cl, d, f, fr, h, j, l, and sm. Then have them draw an arrow or a line from the letters og to the outer edge. Children attach the small circle to the center of the larger one with a paper fastener. They then spin the wheels to build rhyming words. Have children write the words they make in a list or in sentences. Some children may wish to illustrate their words or sentences.
