My ell Songbook (visual/oral/kinesthetic) Have children take several pieces of paper, fold them in half, and staple them at the left side to make a book. On the front cover of the book, have children write "My ell Songbook." Children then brainstorm a list of -ell words. On each page of their book, they draw or paste a musical note and write an -ell word on it. Under each note, children write a song lyric that includes the word on the note. Some children may wish to sing their lyrics for the class.
