Animal Pairs
(visual/kinesthetic)
Ask partners to brainstorm and write words that end with the phonogram -ent.
After making their list, have children look at each initial consonant and think of an unusual animal that begins with that letter.
On one set of cards, children draw each animal and its beginning letter. On a second set of cards, they write the letters ent.
Children then play concentration with the cards, turning over pairs to make -ent words.
