My Color Book
Art/Science
Children will group pictures by color and create Color Books.
What You Need
- Old magazines
- Scissors
- Glue
- Construction paper
- Hole punch
- Yarn
What To Do
- Choose a color to be the Color of the Day. Write the color name on the board. Show children something that is that color.
- Work with small groups of children to find pictures of things that are the featured color. Help children cut out and paste the pictures on a page in their Color Books. Write the name of the color at the bottom of the page.
- Have children decorate a cover for their Color Books. As children complete each page, punch holes in it and bind it to the other pages with yarn.
