What Animal Am I?

Science/Drama

Children will participate in an animal quiz involving facts, drawings, riddles, or role-playing.

What You Need

  • Chart paper
  • Markers
  • Books about animals

What To Do

  1. Invite children to take part in an animal guessing game. Explain that children can choose one of four different ways to have classmates guess their animal.
  2. Children can draw a small part of the animal on the chalkboard or chart paper as a clue, adding to it little by little to add clues.
  3. Children can create a funny riddle about the animal. For example: "I am the emperor of Antarctica." (emperor penguin)
  4. Children can find an interesting fact about the animal. For example: "I am in danger because people use my teeth to make objects of ivory." (elephant)
  5. Children can role-play the animal.
  6. Play as many rounds of the game as you like, encouraging children to try different presentations of clues.
