- Books about animals
What To Do
- Invite children to take part in an animal guessing game. Explain that children can choose one of four different ways to have classmates guess their animal.
- Children can draw a small part of the animal on the chalkboard or chart paper as a clue, adding to it little by little to add clues.
- Children can create a funny riddle about the animal. For example: "I am the emperor of Antarctica." (emperor penguin)
- Children can find an interesting fact about the animal. For example: "I am in danger because people use my teeth to make objects of ivory." (elephant)
- Children can role-play the animal.
- Play as many rounds of the game as you like, encouraging children to try different presentations of clues.
