At this PBS site you can learn much more about the former "Boy Called Slow," who became the legendary leader and warrior Sitting Bull. The site recounts Sitting Bull's life from young adulthood until his death, painting a vivid portrait of a man whose strength and defiance were matched by his wisdom.

Wild Horses—The Romance of Renegades
As a follow-up to Black Cowboy, Wild Horses, explore another PBS site, this one based on a TV show about mustangs. It doesn't miss a (hoof)beat, starting with the origins of the prehistoric horse on the plains of North America and proceeding to explore the roots of the human-horse relationship, mustang adaptation to encroaching human settlement, and policies geared toward ensuring mustangs' survival.
