Draw Up a Solution

Students will identify a problem in their community and create posters to help publicize and reduce the problem.
What You Need
- Notepads or tape recorders to record information from community members.
- Poster board and other art supplies.
What To Do
- Ask students to talk to family, friends, and neighbors about problems in their communityfor example, litter, drunk driving, or vandalism.
- Have students create posters publicizing the problem, including ways people can help tackle it.
- Help students put up their posters around town, with cooperation from local merchants, libraries, and other establishments.
