What You Need
- Paper
- Pencils
- Erasers
What To Do
- Discuss with children what the main problems are in several well-known stories. For example, in The Three Little Pigs, the wolf is trying to eat the pigs. In Goldilocks and the Three Bears, a little girl makes a mess of the bears' house.
- Invite children to work alone or with a partner to change the problem in a well-known story. In The Three Little Pigs, it could be a big bad bee that's trying to sting the pigs. In The Three Bears, the bears could make a mess of Goldilocks's house.
- Have children make a drawing or a comic strip that shows how they have changed the story problem, and how the characters solve it.
