Animal Fact Cards

Children will make animal cards that give facts about animals.

What You Need

  • Blank index cards
  • Markers or crayons
  • Rulers
  • Pens

What To Do

  1. Have children choose one or more animal species as subjects for fact cards.
  2. Have children look up facts about their chosen animal in nonfiction books or in an encyclopedia.
  3. On one side of the card, children can draw a picture of the animal in its natural habitat.
  4. On the other side, children can list three facts they have found out, including the part of the world the animal lives in.
  5. Children can post their cards in a display or use them to play matching games.
