Museum of Science and Industry
At the Web site of Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, your students can choose to take a number of virtual voyages through the museum's online exhibits. These include a visit to the legendary train known as the Silver Streak, an exploration of life on a farm (complete with a farm quiz and videos), a venture deep into a coal mine, a tour of a fairy castle, and an excursion into a German submarine from World War II.

Are there some budding astronomers, or even astronauts, in your class? If so, this NASA Web site will keep them glued to their computer screens. Have students choose the legs of their voyage by clicking on the Level 1 topics. Here they can explore our solar system and universe and learn many interesting facts about space science. The site also offers an abundance of challenging activities and games with names such as Cosmic Connection, Universal Chaos, Solar System Shuffle, and Astro Trek.
