Experienced Math Expressions coaches, coordinators, and teachers who have successfully completed Math Expressions Institute, Level I

3 days

Trainer's notebook, presentation visuals, and one set of Math Expressions teacher materials, levels K–5

Enrollment:

15–30 participants

Description

Any participant who has worked as a Math Expressions teacher, coach, or site coordinator for one semester is eligible to attend a Level II Institute. The Intervention Institute, Level II, prepares Level I graduates to become district trainers, so they can maximize capacity by training other teachers to use Math Expressions.

Objectives

As a result of attending this institute, participants will:

• understand and apply adult learning theory
• develop effective presentation skills
• understand the role of simulations in institutes
• learn strategies to address difficult questions and challenging participants
