Materials List
In addition to the literature, the Math Concept Cards, and the Math Manipulatives Kit, you may also need to gather the following materials (depending on your activity choices). Materials are listed in the order in which they are used throughout each week.
Week 1
- demonstration clock
- tray
- paper
- one large book
- one small book
- toy animals in three sizes
- sorting cards labeled same, smaller, bigger
- toy animals of different colors
- assorted toy animals
Week 2
- pictures or photographs of different-sized animals
- yarn necklaces with cardboard numeral cards attached (0–10)
- assorted toy animals (including cats and dogs)
- toy animals of different colors
Week 3
- photographs or pictures of adult and baby animals
- chart paper
- pictures showing actions or events
- assorted toy animals
- paper bag
- 2" x 3" drawings of each toy animal (see above)
- index cards with numerals 1–10
