Materials List

In addition to the literature, the Math Concept Cards, and the Math Manipulatives Kit, you may also need to gather the following materials (depending on your activity choices). Materials are listed in the order in which they are used throughout each week.

Week 1

  • shells
  • magnifying glasses
  • recordings of beach sounds
  • simple musical instruments, such as drums, bells, and rhythm sticks; or other objects, such as boxes, small cans filled with rice, and straws to create sounds

Week 2

No additional materials needed.

Week 3

  • real or artificial leaves
  • magnifying glasses
  • bag
  • numeral cards 1–5
