What You and Your Child Will Do:

  1. With everyone's marker on the starting square, one player rolls the die.
  2. Whoever rolls must divide the number on the square by the number rolled to find an answer, or quotient. That player records the division, reads it aloud, and then moves the number of spaces indicated by the remainder. For example:

gameboard with squares numbered 17,21,23,13,27Start on 17.
    Suppose you roll a 4.
    Write: 17 ÷ 4 = 4 R1
Read: “Seventeen divided by four equals four, remainder one.”
    So, move ahead 1 square.

  3. Players take turns rolling the die, recording the division and reading it aloud, and then moving ahead according to the remainder.
  4. The winner is the one who is first to reach “End.”
