Everyone loves a word search. Check the e-Glossary for any definitions your child doesn't know.

What You Need:

• Print the Word Wisdom Worksheet (PDF file)
• Highlighter or pencil

What You and Your Child Will Do:

1. Have your child read the words in the Word Box at the top of the worksheet. Briefly discuss the meaning of each word. Show your child how to access the e-Glossary if he or she is interested in doing so.
2. Point to the word “quotient” in the Word Box and ask the child to find it in the puzzle below. Tell him or her to mark this word by drawing a line from the top of the box with the “Q” to the bottom of the box with the “T.”
3. Show your child how to cross out the word “quotient” in the word box to show that it has been marked in the puzzle.
4. Allow the child to complete the puzzle alone. Offer help only if asked! Vocabulary words appear in bold red text below.
