You have been learning about simple machines and how they make work easier. The six kinds of simple machines are wheels and axles, pulleys, levers, ramps, wedges, and screws. Where can you find these machines in your home? Try this activity with your family members.
Ask an adult to help you divide a posterboard into six sections. Label each section with one of the six simple machines. For each of the six machines, find at least two examples around your home. Illustrate and label each machine. Explain why each machine you found fits into its category.
