Amazing Adaptations
In science class, you have been learning about organisms and their adaptations. In this activity, you and your family members can learn more about adaptations by exploring animals and plants at zoos, parks, botanic gardens, and even in your own backyard!

Procedure
With an adult’s help, find photographs, illustrations, or actual examples of five different plants and five different animals with interesting adaptations. Record the name of each organism in the chart and describe one or two of its adaptations.
Results
What kinds of animal adaptations did you describe? What is the most unusual adaptation on your list? Can you think of some adaptations that humans have?
