Persuasion:

Experts warn that rain forests are in danger of becoming extinct. Have students write a persuasive essay that calls for the protection of this biome.

Matching Animals and Environments

Have students strengthen their understanding of different natural environments and the animals that live there. Have students create drawings of different environments and then create some unexpected visitors in those environments.

The great tropical rain forest of the Amazon Basin has a tremendous diversity of life. Have students discover this diversity by creating an alphabetic Amazon animal mural.
