This site is a great resource for Native American history. A short description is provided for over 30 Native American nations, with links to much more detailed information and essays. A great site for student research.
U.S. Census Bureau: World Population Information
The U.S. Bureau of the Census has made much of the information they gather available on the Internet. This section provides a 1996 world population profile, a population clock, world population of years past, and estimates of world population for future years.
Top 25 American Indian Tribes for the United States
The U.S. Census Bureau provides this listing of the twenty-five most populous American Indian tribes, combining census data from 1980 and 1990.
Billed as "The source for gobal population information," this site includes a clickable world map and additional resources providing world population information. This site is hosted by the Population Resource Bureau: a nonprofit, nonadvocacy, educational organization based in Washington, D.C.
USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service
The USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service provides agricultural data for the United States on the Internet. You can learn all about the agricultural production of the nation or just your state. Visit the Graphics section to practice interpreting graphical and statistical data.
