1. Put flour, confectioners' sugar, and nuts in a large bowl and mix well.
2. Mix in vanilla and butter or margarine until the mixture forms a soft ball. Add a little ice water if the mixture is too dry.
3. Pinch off an amount about the size of a Ping-Pong ball and roll it into a ball. Place balls on a cookie sheet about one inch apart.
4. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. Bake about 12 minutes or until set and golden. When done, remove from cookie sheet and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
