This site provides information about various forms of media "from petroglyphs to pixels" as well as a tremendous number of links to Internet sites about various forms of media. The Timeline by Chronology section is a good place to start.
This site will tell you what is the top-selling music in a number of different categories.
Billboard® magazine provides this online edition of music industry information. Ask students to note how the information is organized in these charts, and ask them how this information would be useful for a store selling recorded music.
The Music Education Madness Site
This site provides plenty of instruction hints, lesson plans, and articles that will help you incorporate music into the curriculum.
